Magnobond 36, Parts A & B

DESCRIPTION

Magnolia 36, A & B is an unimmulsifiable, two component, 100% solids, low viscosity, epoxy adhesive and coating compound that will cure in fresh or salt water.

SPECIAL FEATURES

Magnobond 36 is:

(1) Approved by the Florida Department of Transportation per Specification Section 406 for underwater bridge piling and dock repair.

(2) The low viscosity and long pot life of Magnobond 36 makes it an excellent pressure injection grout above or below water.

(3) Magnobond 36 can be mixed with clean, dry sized sand up to 3 parts of sand to 1 part of epoxy mix by volume.

COVERAGE

Magnolia 36 is a 100% solids system and will give a coveage of 1,600 ft. per gallon per mil of application; i.e., 300 ft. per gallon of 5 mils, 50 ft per gallon at 1/32", and 25 ft. per gallon at 1/16".

APPLICATION

Preparation of Substrate. Surfaces to be bonded or coated should be clean and free of dirt, oil, and other foreign matter. Sandblasting, wire brushing or water and sandblasting is recommended for optimum adhesion. The surfaces need not be dry and may be underwater.

Mixing. Thoroughly mix 1 part by volume of 36A with 1 part by volume of 36B for at least 2 minutes. Do not mix more material than be used in 2 to 3 hours.

Application. Magnobond 36 may be applied with a brush, roller, or squeegee. When Magnobond 36 is made into a mortar by the addition of sand, it may be applied by a trowel, spatula, or caulking gun.

Handling. Magnobond 36 has been formulated with epoxy chemicals and hardeners. Care should be taken to prevent contact with the skin for any length of time. In the event of skin contact, wash immediately with soap and water. In the event of contact with eyes, flush with water immediately and see a physician. Uncured Magnobond 36 may be removed from tools with soap and water or with toluene.

Keep container closed. Do not reuse this container.
