DESCRIPTION

Magnobond 6380 is a toughened epoxy adhesive/shim system having good properties over a wide range of temperatures.

       Part A:            75°F (7/1)  52 X 40,000 = 2,080,000

                          90°F (7/1)  31 X 40,000 = 1,240,000
                               (7/5)  75 X  8,000 =   600,000

                         100°F (7/1)  25 X 40,000 = 1,000,000
                               (7/5)  52 X  8,000 =   416,000
                               (7/10) 75 X  4,000 =   300,000

                         110°F (7/1)  22 X 40,000 =   880,000
                               (7/5)  42 X  8,000 =   336,000
                               (7/10) 70 X  4,000 =   280,000
       Part B:   Paste
          Mix:   Paste

     Mix Ratio:                 Part A:  100 parts by weight
                                Part B:   27 parts by weight

     3 ounce pot life @ 77°F:   90 minutes

     Cure Schedule:             6 hours at 77°F = Set
                                3 days = full properties
                                         or
                                1-2 hours at 140-170°F
                                         or
                                1/2 to 1 hour at 180-220°F

         a.  Tested @ R.T.         3099 psi avg
         b.  Tested @ 350°F         618 psi avg

     2.  6380 Lap Shear (ASTM D-1002) Cure 1 hr. @ 350°F
         Soak 7 hours @ 350°F
         a.  Tested @ R.T.         3305 psi avg
         b.  Tested @ 350°F         746 psi avg

     3.  6380 Lap Shear (ASTM D-1002) Cure 1 hr. @ 180°F
         Soak 8 hours @ 350°F
         a.  Tested at R.T.        3499 psi avg
         b.  Tested @ 350°F         725 psi avg

     Room temperature after exposure
     to the following fluids:
          MIL-H-83282 at room temperature
          for 7 days                    4,800 psi
          MIL-L-7808 at 250°F for 24
          hours                         3,700 psi
          MIL-L-23699 at 250°F for 24
          hours                         3,700 psi
          MIL-L-5624 at room temperature
          for 7 days                    4,800 psi
          MIL-A-8243 at 32°F for 7
          days                          4,900 psi
